C.M.C. S&L Promotes Two Villas Women
Two Villas women have been named to fill the posts of manager and Assistant Manager of the Cape May County Savings and Loan Home Office, 7 North Main Street. Frank Strohm, President of the Cape May County Savings and Loan Association announced recently that both women merit their appointments because of the fine work they have done with the Association in the past. Charlotte Groome, the new Manager has been with the Association for three years. She is married and has three sons who attend schools in Lower Township. She graduated from Hallahan High School in Philadelphia. Mrs. Groome has worked in the Home Office during her entire length of service with the Association. Gertrude Hilvert, the new Assistant Manager has also been with the association three years. She is married and has four children and a grandchild. Mrs. Hilvert holds a New Jersey Real Estate License, which she finds helpful working in a Savings and Loan Association whose main interest lies in mortgaging real estate property. The Home Offic of the Association is not the only office to have two women managers. The Marmora Office, which serves Upper Township, has Corylin Armour and Sandra Ingram as Manager and Assistant Manager respectively. In addition to the fact that both Mrs. Groome and Mrs. Hilvert are from the Villas and have worked equal lengths of time for the Association, both have husbands whose first names are Jerome.
