for Adults

Cumberland County College has scheduled several skill-oriented courses for adults. The beginning dates of these classes will extend from mid-January through February, and most courses will meet for approximately five weeks. “Beginning Tennis” will be held in the gym from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings from Feb. 6th through 27th. This class costs $25.00. “Conversational Italian” will be held from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. from Feb. 14th through March 14th. This class, which will be held in room 16 of the Academic Building, costs $25.00. “CPR" - Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation meets on the third Friday of every month. In January, the date is the. 19th; in February, the date is the 16th. This course

is oftered free of charge.

"Disco Dancing” is planned for Friday evenings, Jan. 19th through Feb. 23rd. Beginners will meet from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and intermediates will follow from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. The cost is $25.00 for singles, $45.00 for couples. This class will meet in the cafeteria. “Photography - Basic Dark Room” and the more advanced “Photography I” will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Feb. 6th through March 1st. “Photography I” is scheduled to meet in the television studio from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The fee for this course is $25.00. “Basic Dark Room" will meet in room 29 from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. The cost for this course is $35.00. Miss Norbury at N.J. Jr. Miss Finals

Ruth Ann Norbury Cape May County’s Junior Miss, arrived in Camden County this week to participate in the 1979 New Jersey Junior Miss Finals. She is one of twenty outstanding high school senior girls vying for the title of New Jersey’s Junior Miss for 1979 and scholarship prize

money, Daily rehearsels are preparing the girls for the pageant on Friday, Jan. 19th, and Sat., Jan. 20th. Curtain time is 7:30 P.M. at Cherry Hill High School East, Cherry Hill. Tickets will be available at the door both evenings. Four-year, full-tuition scholarships to the College of St. Elizabeth, Caldwell College, Columbia College in Missouri, Huntington College, Troy State

College and Jackson College in Alabama, and Westminster College in Utah will be awarded to the winner and runners-up in addition to cash scholarships. Other prizes will be awarded by the national sponsors for America’s Junior Miss Program. Those sponsors include John H. Breck Company, Eastman

Kodak Comapny, Krafy Inc., Simplicity Patterns Company, and Coca-Cola USA. New Jersey's Junior Miss for 1979 will represent New Jersey in America's Junior Miss Finals in Mobile, Ala.

ACC Dean’s List

Three-hundred and eighteen Atlantic Community College students, including 33 who posted straight A’s, have been cited for their academic achievements during ACC’s 1978 fall semester. Those who earned all A’s - a perfect grade point average of 4.6 for the semester - were named to ACC’s President’s List. The students who attained a grade point average of 3.0 (B) or higher were named to ACC’s Dean’s List. Among the 33 students who had perfect grades for the semester, which ended last month, include Barbara Marella and Robert Thierry, both of North Cape May and Barbara Camp, Ocean View.
