"Wildwood" Fantasy Island to Stranded Crewmen

Bv Alan Eckert We’ve all heard of Fantasy Island! But for the crew of the D.E.C.O. HI (Duzich East Coast Operation) they are seeing Wildwood Island in that manner, without any fantasy’s. The vessel ran aground Sunday morning and has remained there all week. There has been a few

different stories of how the boat originally ran aground but for now the most important matter is how to get the boat off the 24th Street Beach.

Because of the height of

the vessel and its location in

the water, the ten crewmen had to be assisted by Coast Guard helicopter, to get them down on dry land

again. The crewman wish to thank the Coast Guard, local residents and businesses for the assistance

they received. [picture] D.E.C.O. III worth $380,000 hopefully will not get salvaged for $65,000. (HERALD Photos by Alan Eckert). [photo] D.E.C.O. III crew working away.
