Philadelphia patent attorney

J. Rodman Steele, Jr. will head the Regional Gifts Committee of

the Library-Advocacy Center Program at The Dickinson

School of Law.

Steele, of the newly established patent law firm of

Steele, Gould and Fried, with offices in the IVB Building, is

serving his final year as president of The Dickinson School of Law General Alumni Association The task before him will be to continue Dickinson's fund

campaign for its three-story Library-Advocacy Center building addition. Steele is a 1966 graduate of Dickinson, and recieved a masters degree in patent and trade regulation law from George Washington University following his release from active duty in 1971 as a member of the U.S. Army. A Wilmington, Del. native, he received his undergraduate education at the

University of Delaware.

HUMAN SERVICES COALITION The regular monthly meeting of the Human Services Coalition will be held Thursday, Feb. 1st at 1:30 P.M. in the Conference Room of the Social Services Building in Rio Grande. The public is cordially invited to attend. WOMEN - FINDING A JOB Part three of a six week seminar sponsored by Cape May Office of Economic Development, and Cape May County Cooperative Extension Service will be offered January 31st, 7:00 p.m. at. Cape May City Hall Auditdrium. This session “Finding a Job For You” will help answer such questions as, where to look for a job; is a career in government for you?; can you prepare a resume?; can you sell yourself at a job

interview?

Guest Museum to Sponsor Contest

The Wildwood Crest Historical Museum is sponsoring a contest open to the students of the Crest Memorial School. Those entering are required to submit an essay or project focusing on ’ the history of Wildwood Crest. Length of essay or complexity of the project to be determined by the entrant. The content is under the supervision of Mr. Ken Durham, Social Studies .Teacher at the school. Judging will be by a group of impartial persons. A $25.00 Savings Bond will be awarded to the winner. All entrants will receive a Certificate of Participation. On Feb. 12th, the Museum will present a special display of Victorian Valentines, courtesy of Mrs. Shirley Kentner of Wildwood Crest. The Museum, located at 204 , E. Cardinal Road, Wildwood Crest, is open every Monday evening from 7 to 9-P.M. during

January, February and March. There is no. admission charge. Memberships in the Wildwood Crest Historical Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the History of WildWdod Crest, are open to the public at $5.00 per person per year.

"Joan Schellenger, the newly appointed Manager of the Villas Office of the Cape May County Savings and Loan Association is a person very knowledgeable in financial matters having worked in the field for over 18 years,” said Frank Strohm, President of the Cape May County Savings and Loan Association. Mrs. Schellenger has worked in several local, banks and was Assistant Treasurer at one of South Jersey’s largest banks. She is a graduate of Cape May High School. .She and her husband Melbourne make their home in Fishing Creek, Lower Township. Mrs. Schellenger has three

daughters; one in college, one working in a local law office and one in high school. Both she and her husband are active in the Tabernacle Methodist Church where Mr. Schellenger teaches Sunday School. She is a member of the prestigious Daughters of the Veterans of the Civil War, thus tracing her roots deep into the American past. In her duties as Manager of the Villas Office of the Cape May County Savings and Loan Association, located at 1899 Bayshorc Road, she is assisted by Joe Ann Campbell the newly appointed Assistant Manager.

FOOD STAMP DATES

Dates, places, and times of local visits by a representative of the Cape May County Food Stamp Office during the month of February have been announced by Jack Buchanan, County Food Stamp Supervisor. The purpose of the “Field Visits" is to accept applications or inquiries about the Food Stamp Program by persons who are unable to visit the main office, in the Cape May County Social Services Building in Rio Grande. The representative will be on hand at the 8 field offices from 9:30 A.M. until 12:00 except for the Whitesboro Center which will run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the dates specified. Dates and places are: 1. St. Raymond's Church Basement, 25 E. Hudson Ave., Villas, Wed. Feb. 7th. 2. Ocean City Youth-Center, 6th & Atlantic Ave., Ocean City, Fri., Feb. 2nd. 3. Cape May Co. Library, Public Meeting Room, Mechanic St., Cape May Court House, Thurs., Feb. 8th.

The Food Stamp Program allows families of low incomes to purchase additional food dollars and thus improve their nutritional standards. Food stamps are. available to all who are eligible without regard to race, creed, sex, national origin or political belief.
