Lady Panthers Unbeaten Friday night, February a the Lady Panthers of Middle Township High crushed Sabred Heart girls basketball team ^ka score of 61-16. Middle's supeh' defense held the Hearts scoreless in the first quarter. The Lady Panthers’ overall record is now 17-2. and they have just won eight games in a row. The team is tied with Ocean City in the lost column. After games wTTtrHJcean City and Pleasantville, the} will draw Lower Cape May Regional in the first game of the state tourney.

Middle Bows To Sacred Heart

By Bill Sherman In one of the worst exhibitions of basketball that the Middle Township Panthers have shown this year, they went down to defeat at the hands of the Sacred Hearts of Vineland 52-40 last . Friday night. Sacred Heart took an early lead and never trailed. Their top scorers were Mike Dooiey with 21 points and Neil Pierce with 10. For Middle Township, Lee English was high with 14 points, and Jaybird Watkins landed 10 for the Panthers. The Panthers were great at their foul shooting, making 16 or 17 free throws; however, they were helpless from the floor against the tough Sacred Heart man-to-mah defense. Middle's record is now 13-6, with a game coming up this Tuesday. February 20, against Hammonton. The final game of the season, with Absegami, will be February 22. Sacred Heart is now 11-4 in the Greek Dance Planned The Greek Orthodox Youth of America, serving Cape May County, presents its First Annual. Greek-American Dance, to be held Saturday.
