had a Leslie Caron

Retrospective, a showing of four of her films, at which the actress herself came from France to
attend.

Sea tale Rotary Meeting Again The Sea Isle City Rotary Chib will resume meeting in Sea Isle City for the first time since last summer. James J. Temtso, an accountant antf the city's purchasing agent, said the Rotary will meet on Monday nights at 6 p.m. at Fisherman’s Wharf, a restaurant at 59th St. and Landis Ave. The club has been moving around since the closing of the Commodore Chib in the Spinnaker Condominium, and the Ten Sisters Restaurant in Townsend’s Inlet. Lately it has been meeting at Ten Sisters Country Tavern, or. Route 50 in Corbin City and at various other chibs throughout thearea. Terruso invited representatives of the many local Rotary Chibs to join with the Sea Isle City businessmen at a dinner meeting on any of the next Monday nights as soon as possible to inspect the new surroundings at Fisherman’s Wharf supplied by the Cardwell and D'lhtino families. Terruso said a nominating committee will report soon on officers for 197940. Lower Demos Set Dinner The Lower Township Democratic Club will hold a full course dinner at the party clubhouse (Bayshore Road and Washington Ave., Villas) on * Sunday, February 18 from 1 to 5 p.m. Choice of half a chicken or baked ham will be offered. Donation, is $3.00 for adUlts, and $2.25 for children under 12. MAC Concert The Committee for the Performing Arts of the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts is pleased to announce that for the second concert of the Winter Concert Series, the ‘soloist will be Tfimple C. Painter, Harpsichordist. Mr. Painter who last appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra on January 16th, is a member of the Philadelphia Concerto Soloists, organist at the Adath Jcshurun Temple and teaches at Haverford College. The program at the Feb. 18th concert will be Bach, Scarlatti, and French composters. The concert will be held in the Episcopal Church of the Advent, Washington Street, Cape May, at 4:00 PJ4. Admission is S3.00. seasons tickets for the five concerts is S10.00.

It is one of the nicest shops on the teland, and is well-known to thousands of visitors. ^ Leslie’s picture^ is /always prominently displayed, which, she noted in a local radio interview, was embarrassing when she visited the shop, as cusomters would do a double take when the saw her. Virgin Islanders love celebrities and many visit here. They are always a good excuse for a party. _ ' But, typical of the V.I.’s, an ‘equipment failure’ at the Reichold Cultural Center where the film series were to be shown, forced the movies to be transferred to the local theater a day later.
Gas Hate Hearing Assemblyman Janies R. Hurley said on Tuesday that a public hearing wfll be held in Cape May County on an application by the New Jersey Natural Gas Company to increase the tates charged its customeVs there. Hurley, who had protested the lack of a plan for a Board of Public Utilities hearing at a place convenient for the customers, said he had been assured in a telephone call by a spokesperson from the office of B.P.U. President George Barbour that “there will not definitely be a hearing in Cape May County.’’ They are now deciding uppn the date and the hearing place.
