At a recent awards dinner, sponsored by the Greater Wildwood Southern Cape Jaycees and the Cape May County Jaycee-ettes, Michael Thornton of Lower Township and Katherine Anne Engle of Ocean City, were honored as the Cape May County OUTSTANDING YOUNG MAN and YOUNG WOMAN OF THE YEAR Miss E.igle is employed by Atlantic County Community College as the co-ordinator of the Cape May County Extension Center. Mr. Thornton is a student at Stockton State College. He recently left his position as a Lower Township Committeeman. Also honored was Richard Ogen of Tolz Realty in .Lower
Township, a nominee for the mens award. These young people were honored for their community service, and dvic Involveinent, by citizens under the age 35. DAR Presenting Treats The Cape May Patriots Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will go to Crest Haven February 17,1979 to give treats to the guests in honor of George Washington’s Birthday. The members of the Chapter will meet at 1 p.m. to pass out the goodies to the ladies and men living at the home.
