Avalon Invitational Basketball Tournament. The competition will bring together both girls’ and boys’ teams from Avalon. Stone Harbbr. Sea Isle City and Wildwood Crest for an eventual final contest which will be held Friday. March 16. There will be four boys’ teams and three girls’ teams competing. The finals will be played Basketball at Lockwood 4-H Center Starting Thursday evening. March 8. and for successive Thursdays fronW to 9 p.m. the Lockwood 4-H* Center. DennisA’ille Rd.. Cape May Court House. Basketball will be open to boys and girls from 9 to 18. "Your Avalon Beach Tags and Tennis Permits are as close as your mail box and you’ll receive your 1979 beach tags and permits by return mail." Commissioner Owen P. Quinn, who oversees the issuance of beach tags and tennis permits in this seashore resort, recently stated. "We’ve found that more and more of our summer residents and visitors are taking advantage of this program to obtain their tags and tennis, permits so they can take advantage of the savings and have their tags and permits lady as soon as they arrive here". Quinn contirtued. Avalon requires anyone over age 12 to

wear a beach tag.

For those who wish to purchase their tags or permits in person, the Beach Tag sales booth is located at the rear of Borough Hall. 30th Street and Dune Drive and will be open for the weekend of April 21-22 from 9 AM until 4 PM. The price for season tags purchased early is $3.00. After June 1, the price increases to $5.00. Beginning April 28th, the Beach Tags will be sold on the beach by beach tag inspectors as

well as at the booth.

Tennis fans will be able to use Iheir seasonal* permit beginning June 16. until September 9. The rates and regulations at the Avalon Courts have not changed from past years and are as follows: Overall Court Rate: $6.00 per 90 minutes. Singles or Double Play; Season Permits: First Permit $60.00. additional permits $45.00; Junior permit $25.00 (12 years or under); Senior Citizens - half of all rates (65 years or over): Four week permits: First permit $30.00, additional permits $22.50; Junior Permits $12.50 (lg or under); Senior Citizens - half of all rates

Red Cross Tennis Classic Mar. 24 & 25 Tickets are now available for the American Red Cross Shore Tennis Classic to be held at the Jersey Cape Racquet Club on the Parkway in Cape May Court House, Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25.
