Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Basara of Wildwood on the birth of their daughter Jennifer Ann Basara born on February 19th, the day of the big snow storm. A Wildwood police car was taking Dora to Burdette Tomlin when the car slid into a snow bank and was unable to move further. The Wildwood Fire department sent a fire truck and took Dora the rest of the way to the hospital. Jennifer has a sister Elizabeth Michele who is 2. Black History Day was celebrated in Wildwood on Sunday. March 4th during a meeting held in the Wildwood Housing Authority auditorium. The date had to be changed from a date set in February because of bad weather conditions. Mrs. Milba Pope, Director of Wildwood Cultural Affairs was the Mistress of Ceremonies. Rev.

Mr. William G. Cottman, Executive Director of Wildwood Housing Authority. Presentations were made by the following: Dr. Theodore Johnson, Supt. of Schools in Middle Township; Mrs. Peggy Cooper and the High School Players; Mrs. Dorothy Mack, President of Cape May County NAACP; Milbra Pope; Mr. Greg Bryant, NARCO Agent; Dr. James Caliaway, Doctor of Dental Surgery, Cape May Court House; Mr. Ernest Harper, VicePrincipal Wildwood High School; Mr. Pablo Rivera-Alverez, Neighborhoods & Consumer Affairs Representative for the Dept, of HUD; Mr William L. A fine program which recognized Black History Month was proclaimed by Governor Brendan Byrne as the month of February

Gail Pelusi and her son Joseph of Wildwood Crest have returned from a vacation in Fort l^auderdale. Florida where they stayed with Gail’s parents John and Phyllis Do Francesco of Wildwood Crest who are spending the winter in Fort Lauderdale. Rev. and Mrs. Walter Nickless of Wildwood Crest are now making their home with George and Bette Van Dyke in their new home in Beasley Point. Rev. Nickless is Pastor Emeritus of the Crest Community Church in Wildwood Ctest. Mrs. Eda Nickless has been residing in the Crest Haven Home for some time. + + + Elmer (Pat) and Ida Kelly of Wildwood Crest returned from a recent trip to Cape Town, South Africa where they spent 28 days visiting with their daughter and son-in-law (Julia and John McPhail) and their three grandchildren Kenneth. Kelly and Karen McPhail. On their trip to South Africa, they visited London. Rome, and Florence, and on their way back they stopped at Rio de Janeiro, and Orlando, Florida where they spent 10 days. The Kellys grand-children Kenneth and Kelly McPhail are students at Philips Academy, Andover Mass, and went to .Cape Town to spend their Christmas school holiday with their parents and grand-parents. Their son-in-law John McPhail is employed by the Caltex Corp. and is general manager of their South African Refining Plant located in Cape Town. Julia McPhail and her youngest daughter, Karen, will be coming to the states the middle of March and will visit her parents after visiting with Kenneth and Kelly in Andover, Mass, who will have a spring vacation of one week from school. Pat Kelly recently retired from the Cape May County District Court where he was Sergeant-at-Arm. for the past nine years.

Clowns, Antiques, Crafts at MTHS

The fifth annual Antique & Craft Show, sponsored by Middle Twp. High School "Panther Marching Band" takes place this Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 10 & 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the high school. There will be a clown and magic show, featuring the Hoffnagle Clows, at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m.,2p.m. and3:30p.m. More than 40 dealers are expected to display their items. There will also be games of chance, - midway, baked goods for sale and refreshments. The high School is located off
