Joseph Benkert, governor of lil South Jersey Lions Clubs, will review the service group's sight conservation projects at a meeting of the Stone Harbor Lions Club. March 28, at Whitobrier Motel at 7:00 p.m. Benkert was elected leader of 2.000 Lions in the six county District 18-C at their convention in Atlantic City last June. A former president of the Wenonah Lions Club, Benkert served in a broad band of key regional and district posts. He was named a rone chairman in l«7:t and the following year was advanced to deputy district governor. He has headed membership and retention in the

SH SENIORS MARCH MEETING At the March monthly business meeting, the Harbor Seniors filled out questionnaires listing their next of kin to augment a recently prepared Memorial Book. Those members not present at this meeting will be contacted by a special committee so that the complete roster will be covered. Senior's president Vernis Pilert announced that at the April meeting officers will be elected for the coming two years. She added this meeting will be held on Wednesday. April 4th. The group's annual Easter hat contest and parade will also take place at this meeting. Prizes for the most original, fancy and funniest hat will be awarded. Mrs. Pilert thanked the reception committee — Matt Woolery, Jean Westhoff. Lillian Dougherty. Dorothy Bahnuik. Julie D AIessandro and Ruth Eckhardt - for the delightful St. Patrick’s Day decorations and snacks.

WETLANDS INSTITUTE APPOINTS EDUCATION COORDINATOR Anne Galli, an interpretive naturalist has been selected as the new Public Education Coordinator at the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor. Miss Galli has been actively involved in environmental education for the past five years, first with the Bergen County, and most recently with the Morris County Park Comhission. She holds a B.S. degree in BiologyEnvironmental Science from Elmira College and a Masters in Ecology from Rutgers University. As Public Education Coordinator, Miss Galli will be involved in ^conducting field learning adventures for schools scout groups and the general public, as well as coordinating public lecture and film series, art exhibits and shows and scientific conferences held at the Wetlands Institute. The Institute is open to visitors on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 1 to 5 during the winter. Information about the public lecture series available upon request.
CH KIWANIS DONATE 4-H BACKBOARDS The Cape May Court Kiwanis has donated basketball backboards to the 4-H Foundation. They have been installed and may be seen at the Lockwobd 4-H Youth Center on Dennisville Road and a dedication ceremony will be held shortly.
