This year the Court House team in the Cape May County Softball League will be sponsored by Palmer Chevrolet of Ocean City. Added to the roster will be Kevin Sherman, slugger who played for Kona Sports Ikst year. Don Rhinesmith, with Mayfer’s Bar last year has signed to play with C-View Tavern this season. According to terry Brown, Don is the purest hitter in the league.

At the Lockwood 4-H Youth Center on Dennisville Rd., last Friday, the basketball court was officially dedicated. Representing the 4-H Foundation was Bilb Lockwood - County 4-H agent while Bob Mossbrooks did the honors for the Kiwanis Club of Cape May Court House, which madf it possible byHonating the backboards whipn . were then installed by the-Middle Township Recreation^l5ept. and the lines were painted by the County Road Dept. Not having a machine that can ^.paint circles, Charlie Catanzart, 4-H ’ supervisor brought in a local artist to do the

circular work..

With Gregg Arnold not getting there on Ume, the ball for the center jump between Bill Lockwood and Bob Mossbrooks was tossed up by Bill Sherman. Afterwards, a great many action shots of Charlie Catanzara and Gregg Arnold taking shots at the basket were taken by Ray Burke, omnipresent Kiwanis

photographer.

The basketball court isj being used regularly by groups of 4-H youngsters and it is planned to let other organizations use the gym for basketball. We still don’t have a Community Recreation Center but this is, a step in the right

direction. •
