Eagles Swoop Coast Guard The Philadelphia Eagle Flew into Cape May County Saturday night swooped down over the Coast Guard base, snatched the booty (from the Coast Guard Bear and soared away into thfe night. The score was 8^82. .« The game was a benefit between the Coast Guard Bears and a team made up ^of the Philadelphia Eagles football squad. A crowd of perhaps 400 people watched the game and vied to get autographs of the Eagles. Jerry Sizemore, gigantic tackle ' led all the scorers with 32 points while Ray Phillips and Keith Krepflfe had 16 and 14 respectively. It is rumored that the Press are bringing down a college star from Phil^lelphia to help out their cause. Among the Press players will be Mike Young, forrfler Wildwood Catholic star, Mike Diamond, Atlantic City Flash and an unknown ‘Vernon’ who is said to teag^ant.

Celtic-Soccer On The Move The Celtics are a team of High School 11th and 12th graders, and older sotcer players, playing ip the South Jersey Soccer League. Many of the players are local favorites from Middle Twp. High School; Dale Swagler Kevin “Doc" Creamer, Dan Errickson, Palle and Neilson and Mike Fiorucci. These youths are lepd by the “Old Man" of Cape May County Soccer, Gerry "Scottie” McFarland. In their first game, they defeated Absecon 6-2, with Gerry McFarland. Doc Creamer <2>.' Kevin Bremmer, Chris • Medor, and Mark Welcil all scoring. Adult games are preceded by a Juniors’ game. The Juniors’, team is composed of Stone Harbor Lionk Club Players, including Kevin McFarland, John Minques. John Jacquematon, Paul Buchanan, andOrton Hicks. According to Mrfc. Nancy Batz, the Celtics are an extension of the total soccer program in Cape May County. The Cape May County Soccer League now has over 1100 players, from age seven through adult, playing, and more coaches, administrative help, and referees are needed.
