With baseball season still not underway, basketball remains in the limelight. All-Star teams are being picked and All-Star games are being played. Rewi Thompson has made the third team All-Press aggrecation along with John Halbruner of Lower Cape May Regional

Although the date is not firm, depending upon Ricky Harmon’s availability, a benefit game for the Kiwanis Scholarship fund is to be played against the Middle Township Police Department augmented by Rick Harmon. For Kiwanis, Rewi Thompson will be lending his talent. Tickets for a $1.00 donation will be available -from Kiwanis members. K Club members, Middle Twp. Police Department, and students can buy them at the high school.

After gone down to defeat at the hands of the Kiwanis, the Fire Company is determined to turn it

around in a return match. They’ve even installed baskets in the firehouse to improve their shooting. Several soccer players, in fact, all the seniors on the '78 Varsity Soccer Team, will matriculate and play soccer at the following

colleges:

Kiwanis Bows In Volleyball League

The Old Sport said it coundn’t be done — an AllStar team beat an organized team that has played together all season. But it happened! The All-Stars slaughtered the championship Kiwanis team by a score of 15-9,15-13 and 7-15. And the end was written to the Adult Volleyball League, sponsored by the Middle Twp. Recreation Dept. A benefit basketball game by the Mothers of the Clem Mulligan Rec. Assn, vs. the Lower Township Police Dept, will be played at the Lower Twp. Recreation Center on Friday, April Gat 7 p.m. Volleyball The adult volleyball league sponsored by the Middle Township Recreation Dept., under the direction of Gregg Arnold, and ably assisted by Tom Johnston and John McNeely. wound up the season on March 27 with an exhibition game between the champion Kiwanians and an All-Star team consisting of 2 players from each of the other 5 teams.
