Mrs Keen commented. “My family and I have provided a meaningful service for Avalon and its people for over 2t years We hope to continue that service and along with that. I will make a personal effort toward assisting in attaining a government desirable to Avalon's people. I will address my efforts and direct my cncrgit*s toward: making Avalon's new form of government Work for all of us: more citizen involvement in government with, among other things, public meetings for budget discussion prior to voting: Judyski Announces Platform AVALON — Avalon Council candidate Phil Judyski. Iasi week announced five specific points of his platform to improve the Borough under the new form of government. Judyski. 36. is one of 13 candidates vying for five Council-At-Large seats to i be filled in the May 8 municipal election. He is Avalon businessman, andnn II year resident of Avalon. Judyski s platform includes: Insure increased cooperation and communications between Borough government, and the local Chamber of Commerce, and other civft 1 - organizations in the community Develop a comprehensive emergency preparedness plan for die Borough so that residents and properties will be protected to the maximum extent possible in flood, storm, or other disaster situations. Demand better maintenance dredging of Townsend's Inlet, the Intracostal Waterway in order to provide safe ’ boating and fishing to help stabilize Avalon's beaches. Expand the Borough's recreation and activities program for all ages. Ensure that Avalon gets its moneys wordi from participation in the county Municipal Utilities Authority. The five platfordi points are an addition to general positions Judyski has expressed throughout the course of his campaign. Borough residents and visitois working together can improve Avalon during the decade of the 1980s," is the focus of Judyski’s campaign. "As a Councilman. A native of Philadelphia, Jim graduated from Temple University in 1938 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He completed another year at Temple, becoming certified as a Secondary Education teacher. After 33 years with Atlantic Richfield, Jim retired as a Corporate Development Engineer for the Marketing Department. and left Los Angeles for retirement in Avalon. An tivid golfer and fisherman. Jim has a lively interest in all phases of sports. Jim resides at 503 42nd Street with his wife, Maryanne, his daughter, Patti Anne, and a son. Michael, who is presently attending college in Florida. *
