Cape May Lutheran Celebrates CAPE MAY — Words of appointed by the Division praise and thanksgivfhg for Mission of the Lutheran will echo through the Church in America as first sanctuary of Cape May full time pastor. Sunday Lutheran Church, May 6 at marks a high point in the 509 Pittsburgh Ave., as efforts of pastors and members and friends people to bring into
existence a Lutheran congregation in Cape May. The day will begin with a business meeting at 9:30 a.m. Then at 11 a.m.'the Service of Thanksgiving will begin with Pastor Ron Nelson conducting the liturgy. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Herluf Jensen. President of the
New Jersey Synod.
Also present will be the Rev. Thomas Weber, assistant to the president, who over the years has been guiding the congregation. Following the service members and friends will gather for a luncheon at the Golden
Eagle.

N WILDWOOD - Forty years in the Christian ministry were celebrated last Sunday by the Rev. John M. Long, pastor of the North Wildwood United Methodist Church. The Rev. Long marked the occasion with a sermon entitled. "Forty Years — But Not in the Wilderness." The pastor began his ministry in a section of Camden adjacent to "Hell's Half Acre." He has served in the major cities of the state, including Camden. Trenton, where
he served as a protestant chaplain for the fire department. New Brunswick and a Rutgers campus parish. The Rev. Long served on various boards and agencies ^during his years as a member of the Southern New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church. He is currently a member of the Board of Church and Society and the Board of Ordained Ministry. He also was chaplain at the Methodist Home in Ocean Grove for 11 years. ON MAT 8TH

Wildwood Sunday at 7 p.m., explores the subject of death and the question of life after death. It investigates cases of people claiming to have had life after death experiences. This dramatic film looks into such questions as: Are these experiences real or simply hallucinations of a dying brain? Why are these encounters suppositive and nonjudgmental? And how do these experiences relate to history’s most consistent textbook on death and dying — the Bible? The 46 minute filitLShow^ how no one Is immune to the sting of death — yet through personal testimonies the film shares a living hope for man — the ability to face death itself and also to face the loss of a loved one.
