MILLVILLE - New Jersey Assemblyman James R. Hurley (Districl I. Cape May-Cumberlandt has introduce a Concurrent Resolution in Ihe legislature asking Congress to reject any mandatory ban on Sunday sales of gasoline. The proposal is one of a number introduced in the search for a way to stretch the nation's liquid fuel supply in the face of alleged shortages and of rising prices at the pump 'Such a proposal, if
approved, would result in insignificant gas savings and would have a devastating effect and. a disproportionate economic impact on states, like New Jersey, in which the tourist industry is an important component of the economy. Minority leader 1 Hurley said in the resolution. "The increase in unemployment and the loss of federal taxes resulting from a ban on Sunday gasoline sales would have an adverse impact upon the national economy as well." he added.
