Run-off Election for Mayor
AVALON - A run-off election will be held for the Avalon mayoral office because no candidate received a majority vote in Tuesday’s regular election. Incumbent mayor Ellsworth Armacost led the three candidates vying for the office with a comfortable 210-vote lead. Commissioner Owen Quinn drew 309 votes with
Hospital Auxiliary Luncheon AVALON - The Slone Harbor-Avalon Branch of the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will hold its annual spring luncheon Wednesday. May 16. from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Henny’s Driftwood Dining Room in Stone Harbor. Alice Zegel. luncheon chairman, said.
