Frances Johns CAPE MAY - Frances P. Johns. 49. of 1314 Massachusetts Ave.. died Tuesday at her home. Bom in Wildwood, she was a lifelong resident of this city. She was a member of the Stone Harbor Country Club and was past president of the Navy wives Club of Portsmouth. Va. Surviving are her husband James H.; three sons. James H.. Jr. and Warren R.. both of this city, and Michael G. of Dias Creek; her parents. Warren and Marguerite Spencer of this city; two sisters. Suellen Bridges of West Palm Beach. Fla., and Lilda Spencer of this city; a brother. Warren G. Spencer of Church Hill. Md.. and five grandchildren. Services were held at the John C. Sudak Funeral Home. Burial was in Cold Spring Cemetery.
Joseph Gavitl VILLAS - Joseph A. Javilt. 72. of 17 Ellery Ave. lied last week in Burdette romlin Memorial Hospital. Bom in Philadelphia, he ived there until moving icre 12 years ago. Gavitt was a retired jump operator 'at the Philadelphia Water Works md was past president of he Philadelphia Water Bureau Union. He was also a member of Stella Maris Council. Knights of Columbus. Erma, and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife. ?lara E.; his son. John A. >f Tuckerton; his daughter. Vfargaret McKendrick of Bamegat Beach; seven jrandchildren and eight jreat-grandchildren. Services were held at the Evon Funeral Home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raymond’s Roman Catholic Chruch. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, ^icltenham Township. Pa.

He was former proprietor of Dan's Orthopedic Shoe Repair in Marlyn Manor shopping center here. Born in Yugoslavia, he liVed in Philadelphia before moving here 25 years ago. Surviving are his son. Edward, of this community and two grandchildren. Services were held at the Radzieta funeral Home, Cape May gCourt House. Burial was in Lawnview Cemeterv. Philadelphia.

William Holman of Washington and 15 grandchildren. Services were held Friday at the First Baptist Church of Whitesborp with the Rev. J.A. Gilmore - officiating. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Ahtia H. Harris WEST CAPE MAY - Anna B. Harris. 69. of 302 Fourth Ave., died last week in Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. A lifetime resident of this community. Mrs. Harris was a bookkeeper in association with her husband at the Center City Garage for 14 years. She was a member of (he Allen A.M.E. Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, and at one time played the piano for silent movies in Cape May. Surviving are her husband. Nelson G.; a son. Nelson D. of Willingboro; a daughter. Joan Gray of Burlington; a sister. Ruth Hyman of this community: two brothers. Thomas Bythe wood of Philadelphia and Daniel Bythewood of East Stroudsburg. Pa.; five grandchildren and two gwat-grandchildren. Services were held at the Allen A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Inez Edmonds, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Mount Moriah Ceipetery. Before. retirement Grinnell was a genera), mechanic for DuPont of Kearny, for whom he worked 23 years. He was a World War If veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. Grinnell was born in Fall River. Mass. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption of Wildwood Crest and the Holy Name Society. Surviving is his wife. Anna J. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in the Church of the Assumption. Monsignor John Kelly, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
