Concert At Lower Cape H.S.
ERMA - One of the highlights of the musical season in this area is the annual Spring Concert presented by the combined musical organizations at Lower Cape May Regional High School. The date for the combined Jazz Band. Choir and Concert Band concert is Wednesday. May 30 at 8 p.m The price'of admission is$l. The Jazz Band and Concert Band will perform under the direction of Edward Jurewicz. Numbers will include “Yard Bird Suite," by Charley Parker and "A Child Is Born.” by Thad Jones.
The Concert Band will perform frorti a wide range of material including religious, classical and Broadway music. Two highlights will be "Liturgical Music For Band" and the "Rakoczy March” from "The Damnation of Faust.” Paul Douglas will conduct tNe 100 voice choir in a wide range of selections. Highlights will be a male quartet singing "All Kinds of Women" and the choir's version of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." Tickets may be purchased from any band or choir member or by calling the high school office.

Assembly bill calling for a decrease in auto tag costs to $10 for senior citizens and handicapped persons came Monday in the form of a Township resolution. The bill. No. 695. backed by N.J. Assemblyman Chinnici of Bridgeton would allow for the special rate regardless of auto class or weight. The resolution was made citing the effects of inflation on the fixed income of the elderly and handicapped.
