National Guard Leaves Planned
COURT HOUSE - LTC ROBERT M DENNY. Battalion Commander of the 154th Supply and Service Battalion located south of Crest Haven on the Garden State Parkway has made an urgent request for employers to work out arrangements with employees who serve in this National .puard Unit so that they may attend their two-week annual training period. The problem is permitting workers' leave St absence during the summer season, is realized but

Denny said, Denny outlined Federal laws governing the employees right to have a leave of absence to attend National Guard service annual training sessions. “Generally, he said. “Job conflicts concerning annual training duty are no4-controlled by Federal Law. “The situation in Cape May County becomes particularly acute." Denny explained. Since this is the time of the season that employers
are busy getting ready for the summer season business, they are reluctant to grant leave." Letters have been sent * well in advance so employers will be given ample time to make necessary compensations. Denny said. The two companies located at Court House are slated to go to Annual Training at different times. The Headquarters Company will leave pn June 9 and return June 23.
