COURT HOUSE — The Cape May County Vocational Technical Center hosted the State Manpower Council and the Vocational Administrators of the State May 21 at the Vo-Tech Center. The Department of Labor group was headed by William Mate, State Director of Manpower and Comprehensive Employment Training, and the vocational educators group was led by Dr. William Wenzel, Assistant Commissioner of Education. John Witt, County Coordinator of Manpower Programs, and Robert Toft, Vo-Tech Superintendent represented the local forces. A special combination seafood luncheon was
arranged by the Vo-Tech Foods Occupation class served by the Vo-Tech VICA Club Members. Following the luncheon the Career Center filmstrip being shown to area schools as an explanation of the New Career Exploratory Program, was presented, and a tour of the New Career Center was

conducted by school personnel. Greetings to the combined assemblage was offered by Malcolm B. MacEwan, vocational school board member and county superintendent. Items specifically addressed on the agenda were the Proposed Initiatives of County Vocational Schools,
the Newman Commission Report on teacher certification, the Call for Higher Education, and a comprehensive CETA update. Representation among the vocational educators present included most of the counties in New Jersey.
