SH Tennis Lessons Set

STONE HARBOR - Tennis lessons will be offered by the Borough s recreation department starting during the week of June 18. Carol Brown, a physical education teacher in Media. Pa. and a longtime tennis instructor, will be the court pro this summer. Both private and group lessions are available this year, with a six group lesson package particularly designed for beginners and intermediate players. Tennis coordinator Bill DeDgrouchy who has been active in the recreation

program for a number of years, staled that scheduling will be more flexible this year with afternoon times available in addition to the morning hours. He added Ms. Brown will lx? offering free yough clinics periodically, r starting the first clinic Wednesday. June 27 at 10:30 a m. on the 82nd street courts. Local Team Shines CAPE MAY - Rick s of Rio Grande, one of the front runners in the Cape May Men's $oftball League, competed this past weekend in the Annual Shoney's Millville Softball Tourney going undefeated and winning their brackets with a perfect 4-0 record on Saturday. Rick’s made it to the final 4 before bowing to Regional Champion Cathy's House of Beauty 7 o 5 in one of the 2semi-final games. Rick's overall record in the tourney was 6-2. defeating such teams as the Pub from Millville, McGettigan's of Atlantic City and John's Bar of Millville, and WMVB. Don Khinesmith and Bob Matthews • were the keyhitters on Saturday. Sam Rhode's 3 home runs highlighted Sunday's games Ahile George Durante and Joe Bimbo also led the team in hitting.
