They started in good fashion by coming back to whip Burke's 8-4 with a seven-run third inning. In their next competition they were mowed down by Rick's of Rio Grande 19-4. Pacing Rick’s were Robert Matthews, Jack McKeefery, Dave Adams and Jack Jenkins with 3 hits each. Burke's nipped Bayshorc Lounge as Leroy Gift and Ron Denny contributed key hits.
