CAPE MAY - Palmer Chevrolet won a pair of contests from Tolz Realtors 9-0 and Mayer's Ftar 13-5 to improve their record to 6 and 2. The Coast Guard Bears split a pair of games last week. They started in good fashion by coming back to whip Burke's 8-4 with a seven-run third inning. In their next competition they were mowed down by Rick's of Rio Grande 19-4. Pacing Rick’s were Robert Matthews, Jack McKeefery, Dave Adams and Jack Jenkins with 3 hits each. Burke's nipped Bayshorc Lounge as Leroy Gift and Ron Denny contributed key hits. Laws Printing excavated Tolz Realtors 16-7. Rick Schwartz had perfect 4 for 4 day and Mike Horn. Ed Grant and Carl Umscheid’ laced three safeties each. Roy Horon was the winning pitcher.
