Band Concert At Park

COURT HOUSE - One of the finest concert bands in this part of the country will be performing a "Concert in the Park” Sunday. June t7. at Cape May County Park. The Onized Concert Band of Bridgeton will give a free concert at 2:30 p.m. Many members of the band are employees or former employees of the Owen-Iilinois Glass Company which founded

the band in 1933. But that is not a pre-requisite for membership, and many otherwise employed citizens of Cape May and Cumberland counties are band members. Concerts by the Onized Band usually commence with selections from the classical composers. But by the end of the concert Pops. Big Band, Dixieland. Modern Jazz and Contemporary music

Hours are 9 a m. ‘til 9p.m. Parking and virtually all activities at the park are free, i Donations for the Ouldren’s Zoo and Nature Center are accepted, and use of some popular features is controlled by reservation fees.) But don’t miss a really good time for all the family at the Cape May Counly Park, two miles north of the Stone Harbor Boulevard traffic light in Route 9.
