Avalon Quilting Class AVALON - Avalon Recreation Dept, is offering a new addition to their summer programquilting. Classes begin Monday night. July 2, at 6 at the recreation Hall, 30 and the Beach. Quilting is an excellent way of using up those scraps of material saved for years. It can be both relaxing, rewarding, and a fun way to meet fellow craftswomen. It is interesting to see the variety of patterns and styles that are used to achieve the final product. To many, quilts are a labor of love, a family heirloom passed frbm generation to generation, and an early American tradition adapted for today 's needs They can be considered an energy saver - warmth and comfort for what could be a long and very cold winter. So beat the energy crisis and use energy of you own -
quilting.

Sternberg said. In its appeal to the Pinelands Commission the Chamber asked the body to recommend to the N.J. governor, Brendan Byrne and legislature that Cape May County be excluded from the pineland preservation deliniation and that a public hearing be held in Cape May County.
