AVALON - The air will ring with the trumpeting, of elephants and the roar of lions Monday when the Hoxie Bros, arcus comes to town. Billed as the world’s largest canvas big top circus, the brightly colored carvan will arrive at 10th St., and Dune Dr. July 2 and start unloading between 7 and 8a.m. Acres of canvas will be erected at the site as massive pachydrems pull the big top into the air be tween 9 and 10 a.m. As crowds gather for shows at 6 and 8:30 p.m. they will be greeted by the midway sound of the side show announcer extolling the mystical wonders to be seen inside the canvas. Peanut, popcorn, cotton candy and circus souvenir vendors will blend their

sharp calls with the raucous sounds of growling animals pacing their cages in anticipation of the next performance. Inside the big top the rotsing beat of the circus band and the sonorous voice of the ring master, announcing the opening spectacle, herald the start of the magic that is called circus. - Performing at the cireus show will be the world’s youngest lion trainer, clowns, elephants, trapeze artists, acrobats jugglers, and a canine revue. , Proceeds from the circus will benefit the Avalon Fire Dept.
