Gas Flag System Urged

Service station operators throughout New Jersey have been urged by the AAA to comply with the red-yellow-green flag system and to post hours of operation to assist motorists in coping with current gasoline shortages. This request was made\ by the Public Affairs ' Council of the AAA Auto Clubs of New Jersey, on behalf of their more than 500.000 members and all drivers in the State. "During these early days of the odd-even gasoline rationing plan, motorists are spending time and precious gallons of gasoline searching Imp open service stations and Waiting in long lines, often to find when they reach the pumps that the station has severe limitations on purchases or is out of one grade of fuel.” pointed out Donald L Hughes.
