Commissioner of the Ne# Jersey Department of Transportation, has announced the receipt of a $523,000 capital grant from the L'rban Mass Transportation Administration in Washington. D.C. Funds from the grant will provide HO percent of the total cost of vehicles purchased for private nonprofit organizations providing transportation services to the elderly and handicapped. The remaining 20 percent of the purchase cost will be provided by the State of New Jersey id an effort to ease the financial burden on organizations providing this service.
