There are three courts down at the bird sanctury, each just a block long, which shaped up about 70 years ago when 109th, noth, and tilth streets were mosquito stomping grounds. The tiny, tar-paper-covered cottages were built by Stoneman Lodge for the summer enjoyment fo the families. As the bungalows passed from owner to owner over the years they became more expensive and less primitive, so that today not one dwelling remains in its origional fof-m.
