OCEAN i err Y — There will be a •Celebration” this Saturday night featuring entertainment and pageant excitement It will all take place at the 1979 Miss Cape May County Scholarship Pageant at the Ocean City Music Pier The event, to begin at 8:15 p m., will feature a talented cast of musicians, singers and dancers and ten young wormen who will compete for the right to succeed Debbie Dickinson as Miss Cape May County Miss Dickinson, a graduate of Tenton State College, will perform a ventriloquist act in the pageant with her "par'Danny. one of the finest shows in the pageant s history, the event will be a double •'Celebration.” It will mark the tenth time Miss Cape May County will be crowned at the Music Pier and will also salute Ocean City which observing its Centennial The highlight of the pageant will be the return appearances of several former Miss Cape May County titleholders. C.G.Marine Exam WILDWOOD - The U S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will sponsor a Courtesy Marine Exanjination (CME) at the Wildwood Yacht Basin. Sat . July^l starting at 10 am Exams will be conducted by a Coast Guard Auxiliary person. Those boats passing the exam will be awarded a decal. Fish Painting At Wetlands STONE HARBOR - The ancient art of Gyotaku, Japanese fish printing, will be demonstrated at a participating workshop conducted at the Wetlands Institute on July 18. at 7:30 p.m This fish printing technique has been used in Japan to record catches of sport fish and gain information on fish biology. As an art form, the method preserves many of the intricate details of the fish's shape, physical character and beauty. A fee of $4 for Institute members and $5 for nonmembers covers cost of all supplies for participants to create their own fish print. Please call the Institute at 368-1211 to register.
