CAPE MAY - Rlbk sof Rio Grande came roaring back from a couple of tough losses to overhaul Palmer Chevrolet 1^8, Mayer’s Bar 14-12 and the Flim Flam Flames 13-3 to boost their record to 17-4. Bob Matthews, Don Rhinesmith. Bob "Hutch" Hutchins and Herb Hudson carried the offense. Bob Hutchins was also the victorious hurler. P & K Associates won three of five games with two victories coming in a Fishing Club The bad news is that the number of fish caught to date this season at the Wildwood Crest Fishing Club is down about 50 percent. Some nice weakfish and blues have indeed been landed, but they have been very scattered. Mike Furesz managed to. walk an 8 pound weakfish to shore and Al Tamburro netted a 7 l - 2 pound blue for the largest fish caught as of July 13th. Several blues in the 1 *5 to 2 pound class have been hooked plus a stray . flounder and blowfish For a few days weakfish were hitting bucktails and some of the luckier members decked some, the largest weighting in a 2 a « poundsthe others two pounds or l^ss. Socially, the season has been very successful,' beginning with a Memorial Day Open House featuring a buffet luncheon. Another Open House was held on July 4 with ice cream, cake, coffee and sodas being offered. Three business meetings have been held. The next one is scheduled for July 27.
