He punches, pounds, and teases his contender with all his might. He learns the importance of selfconfidence in winning and best of all, he learns the meaning of love from a not so painfully shy girl! He is of course. Rocky Balboa. Rocky Balboa is the street lug played by Sylvester Stallone, who. after numberous club-boxing matches, comes face to face with Apollo Creed, the world champion boxer. In "Rocky’* Balboa contends with Apollo only to tie the match. But in "Rocky II". the outcome is much more rewarding. “Rocky II” begins where the original "Rocky" left off. It is just after his first match with Apollo, and Rocky and Creed are in the

hospital being treated for injuries Rocky, determined to satisfy his«pride. asked Apollo if he gave it his best shot To Rocky’s satisfaction, the worldchamp answers yes. Shortly afterward. Rocky proposed to his girlfriend. Adrian, in a particularly amusing way. Now with a wife to support, he must find a house and a job. Finding a house was easy, if you don’t mind living in the quaint town of Society Hill. As for finding a job. Rocky had to settle working with Adrian’s brother Paul, at a meat packing house. The day comes when seniority takes precedence at the meat packing house, and Rocky is layed-off. This, coupled with the

announcement of Rocky, Jr. on the way puts Rocky in a fix. Even Adrian decides to go back to work at the pet store. In the meantime, Apollo Credd is trying to mend his hurt ego by ruining Rocky’s reputation as a strong boxer to a chicken Little. It works. Both Rocky and Mick. Rocky’s trainee, are so infuriated that they want a rematch. In fact, everyone wanted a rematch, all except Adrian. The doctors diagnosed that if Rocky fought again, he might go blind. But Rocky wasn’t afraid. { Suddenly, Adrian begins hemorrhaging and Rooky’s boxing career is far from his mind. After a ’long unconsciousness, Adrian awakes to find Rocky at lier side. Her first words to him are "win”. And he does. Rocky II "showed much more of the

emotional and tender side of Rocky Balboa than in "Rocky". We saw his loyalty to his wife and his love and confidence in God

that was before hidden. And of course, we also

saw the famous historical sights of Phila.. as well as well as South Philadelphia.

It will he put in the Promotion Fund.
