Tax Credit For Chimneys MILLVILLE - Chlmneys required for the operation of wood-burning stoves would be exempt from taxation as real estate under an amendment to the Energy Conservation Bill now under consideration by the Assembly Taxation Committee Assemblyman James R. Hurley said today he had added the amendment to the general energy conservation measure which also includes insulation, certain siding and various other heat-saving devices from assessment and taxation.
