hospitality shop and pledged $27,000 for its formation in the new addition Jane Scott. Mrs. Letzkus’s daughter, served as chairman of this project, and the Cheeri Comer was open for business by 1963. Mrs Scott has shared her mother’s interest in service to Burdette Tomlin Hospital She was president of the Stone Harbor Auxiliary and then was elected to that office in the Cape May County Auxiliary in 1961-62 Jane is a native of Stone Harbor, and her mother has lived here since 1910. That was the year that the 96th St. bridge was built, and Jane's grandfather engineered the construction of it Mrs. Scott was telling me that when the bridge was completed in 1911, Governor (later President) Woodrow Wilson was the guest of honor at the dedication ceremonies and her grandmother entertained. Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital continues to move forward in service to the residents of our county (and in the summertime to countless residents of other counties). and its volunteer workers have become an essential within the hospital itself; they have proven to be*xcellent fund raisers when the; hospital needs them. We are grateful to ladies like Mrs. Letzkus and to all of the men and women who have contributed unselfishly of their time and talent.
