In the disco filled world of Donna Summer and the Bee Gees there lives another finger snapping, fast melodic. and downright fun group. They are "the Fabulous Greasband" The Greasband is a rebirth of* grease-slicked hair, leather and satin jackets, and the ‘•Do-op”
sound that highlighted the 1950 s and the early '60b. With their eight-member band, the Greasband recaptures the spirit of the fifties with such classics as "One Summers Night". "Dirty Women", and the oldie but goodie. "The Twist". They also put on a special show featuring The Beach Boys.

The Energy Rush Hours are Coming, and if you're not careful they could bring with them everything from higher electric bills to brownouts and blackouts. The Energy Rush Hours last from ten in the morning until ten at night on the hottest summer days. And although air conditioning is the biggest threat during these Energy Rush Hours, your other major appliances can cause just as much harm if you don't use them wisely.

THREE ENERGY SAYING TIPS
| Shift your electric usage. Use your major appliances before ten in the •
mornirtg or after ten at night.
If you must use your electric water heater, clothes dryer, oven, range or ML dishwasher during the Energy Rush Hours, use them one at a time. Keep your air conditioner set on low or at 80°. And make sure it's tuned ■V up to run more efficiently.
Unlike other bands where your ears do the listening, the eyes alone can be thoroughly entertained just watching the Greasband perform. "We just want people to come out and have a good time ". said Doug Stackhouse, one of the group's four leading vocalists. "1 don’t like anything better than seeing people laughing and dancing." What started out to be a high school gag five years ago is now on its way to natinnal acclaim. "Welwere all seniorr at Steinert High School (In Trenton) and wedida ’50's act as a gag for the spring music concert. People liked it and gradually we became more serious. When we turned of age, we started playing dubs." Asked of their>fondness fard music Stackhouse *)ed, '.‘We are just doing it we love to do and can’t picture myself in any other profession than music." S6, in the disco world of today, why is fifties music still so popular? 4 "I think because it is so' very simple," continued Stackhouse. "People don’t really have to know how to • dance and they also don’t have to dress the part as in , a disco. Fifties music is for everyone, both ytoung and
old."
The Greasband locally plays at the Bongo Room in Avalon Sunday night. They also play in New York and Long Island and can be found performing on many college campuses throughout N.J. and Pa.
