CAPE MAY - Kona Sports stormed to a pair of victories against stiff competition from Law's 6-1 and Mayer’s Bar 10-4 to hold on to second place. Prior to the Kona sethack. I^aw's reached the twenty-victory plateau with a 12-5 verdict over the same Kona squad and by crunching Bayshore Lounge 28-5. In the Kona win Ron Halbruner and Carl Umschcid stroked home runs. Bill Cook, Carl Umschied and Bill Kennedy laced four hits apiece to power
Law's over Bayshore. Rick’s of Rio Grande maintainetf a hold on third placed with an actionpacked conquest of P&K Associates 14-7. Bob Matthews, Herb Hudson and Lou Dwyer accounted for the key hits for Rick's. Captians Sig’s Seafood swam into the playoff picture with wins against
Rock N Chair 18-8 and the Coast Guard Bears 7-6. The Bears rebounded to clip Burke's 8-4 with good I)' Everlon Fabrics put a wrinkle in P&K Associates playoff hopes by downing them 11-8. Burke’s finished up last week's action by tipping the Rock'N Chair 32-2 in five innings.
