CAPE MAY - The Women’s League nearing the completion of it*s regular season has seen four teams claw through the competition to emerge as the probable playoff seeds. The post-season play

initiates July 26 to determine as eventual league

champion.

The Maurice River Babe Ruth team in the Cape May County League defeated Cape May Court House 4-2 in the first game of the' play-offs for the championship at Memorial Field. The score was tied 22 at the end of regulation seven innings, but Joe Cox’s team came up with runs in the eighth to cop the win. Court House and Maruicc River had identical records for the season: 9-3. The second game is to be played at Maurice River this week. Nichols and Ulbrich scored the runs for Court House while Hand, Ulbrich.
