CAPE MAY — Romance returns to Cape May next week when the "The amourization of Smitty," a romantic comedy written, produced and directed by a local playwright rings up the curtain. Written by Cape May native Bill Sterritt. the play takes a humorous look at a college student searching for romantic love in a world that stresses sex without committment. Opening at 9 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Community Center on Lafayette St. It will run for eight consecutive nights with curtain time at 8 p.m. Aug. 16-23. Tickets are $3 for adults, $2.50 for senior citizens and can be purchased at the Montreal Restaurant. Central Pharmacy or at the door. "The Amourization of Smitty" is the second Sterritt play to be produced ^.locally. His play, "Eternity in Three Acts" was performed last summer at the Victorian Towers. Cast members include: Fran Hoffman. Kevin Kelly, Jay Schweitzer, Susan Furey, Steve Dry, Joseph Grassi. Ed Bosch. Ann Wmold, David Sayre, Geriel McAndrews and Melissa Morgan.
