Togetherness counts, and especially when a husband and wife are engaged in a worthwhile and satisfying project. I was surprised and pleased to learn how many couples from Stone Harbor are aetive in volunteer work at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. On duty in the lobby, which involves the issuing of visitor passes and information and delivery of mail are Marcelle and Ray DeLaurentis, Helen and Arnold Morris, Agnes and Walton Erickson, Marian and Paul Scarlett and Marguerite and William Klotzbucher. George Spence also reports to lobby duty while his wife, Marie, works in the Cheeri Corner. A couple of volunteers who are very busy on the floor are Dorothy and William Laskey, who perform in physical therapy transport. Bill also assists three days a week in the physical medicine department. The hospital is fortunate in having the services of Cleta Fisher, who is,a registered nurse. She trains the floor volunteers in their stretcher and wheelchair work and admittance and discharge of parents. There are even three gals who afe so interested that
they check into the hospital while summer vacationing in Stone Harbor. Roberta Herron likes the lobby, Margaret Noone chose the coffee shop, and Helen Straub the emergency
room.

:kerson and
George Spwice comprise the volunteer bipod procurement staff, transporting this precious item to B-T from the Pleasantville Red Cross blood depot. Three other gentlemen who are equally busy are Vernis Pilert and Martin Patmos in the lobby and Luther Supplee in the coffee shop. There are many ladies from Stone Harbor who are steady volunteers. In the lobby you’ll find Jean Otten, Marion Fenton. Mary Scarpello, Rush Fisher, Margaert Maxwell, and Ida Aulenbach. Over in the Cheeri Corner are Claire Miller, Margaret Jolly, Rose Pretzn, Ester Woll, Hazel Beckman, and Florence Griffith. Gals on floor duty are Grace Connor, Barbara Burton, Dorthy Petruzzo, Anne Kelly, Florence Coyle, Peggy Borkland. Anne Norcutt, and Phyllis Blum. Quite an impressive lineup, don’t you agree? I
