^ New Courses At Atlantic Community

MAYS LANDING - Atlantic Community College this fall will offer 41 credit-free bourses in Atlantic and Cape may counties, including nine new courses and five specially designed for childfen. -The courses, ranging from "Techniques of Athletic Training,” to ‘‘Lamaze Childbirth Nfethod,” will begin between September 12 and Nov 7. They will vary In length from three to 30 weekly sessions. Tuition ranges from $5 for "Ffrst Aid” to ^ $200 for ‘Introduction to Water and Wastewater.” Courses will meet On the Mays Landing L-ampus, at Atlantic City j High School, and at Middle SEARCH AND RESCCE. I. “Beauty Cylture" will meet for six' consecutive Tuesdays, 78:30p.m . beginning Oct. 2. Children's courses Include "String Ensemble,” "Beginning String Development,” "Quilting,” "Art for Children.” and "Children’s Chorus.” All courses wil meet on Saturday mornings, beginning Oct. 6. For the first time, ACC will award Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) to participants in select courses. CEU is a nationally recognized unit awarded for participation

Dias Creek Contest Winner TRENTON — A dias Creek student has been named the wihner of the N.J. State Police Safety poster contest for September, police officials said this week. Kristina Schubert of Springer Mill Rd., a Middle twp.,'‘Elementary student received a $25 savings bond for her entr^which can be seen posted in the area this month. Judging of the contest took place during summer vacation and the winning posters, stressing monthly safety themes, will be on display throughout the year.
