N WILDWOOD - Discounts as high as 18 percent are available to motorists who would rather switch than drive according to the Independent Insurance Agents of Cape may County. The amount of reductions depends on the type of iar and other rating factors David Von Savage, President of the Association notes. Such reductions are being claimed ny motorists who have switched to mass transportatidh or car pooling tosave on gasoline. Most insurers now offer premium reductions to drivers who formerly drove their cars to and from work'five days a week and have curtailed this type of use to two days or less Drivers also can receive discounts if they reduced their driving to and - from work to ^wo weeks or less out of every
five weeks.
An arrangement in which several persons share the penscs but' only one rson driving 'is jechnically a limousine service, not a car pool Mr. Von Savage points out. This driver is not eligible for
discount.
