Mead coach Phil Exley played high school ball at North Hunterdon Regional High School in Central New Jersey, where he set many (ndivlduaI records. Matriculating at West Chester State College, he made his murk iit football, but sustainJI knee injuries which shmrtened his career. He has bpen teaching Health and Physical Educ&tion at Middle Twp. High and coaching the Freshman teams which had exceptionally good records. Now at the age of 26,he is Head Coach and is well on the way, to fame and glory? Vice Lombardi land? Only Ume will tell? And Phil is the only bachelor on the staff. + + + Asst. Coach Brian Tetley attended high school at New Dorp. N.Y. He played football at Wagner College on Staten Island. On Staten Island. Brian claims it got it's name from the early exployer Verrazano, who on coming through the Narrows said to his First Mite "Is dat an island? He said it. Not I. At Wagner, he played freshman football, but after sustaining an injury in his sophomore year, he was red-shirted and played three more .yggre, captaining the ugm in his senior year. He was hetyg coach at Tottenville H.£ on Staten Island for two years and came to Middle in 1976. He teaches Special Education. He is married and has two girls aged 10 and 5. attended Morristown . N.J.H.S. in Central New Jersey'where he was allcounty in '64 am) ‘66 and ail-fltdte in '05. ittecnilted by the Naval Academy, he went Bordentown Military Institute in ee-'e?. But he enrolled at the U. of Pittsburgh in 1967 where he played on the freshman team. From ‘68*'70 he was a member of the Varsity, plpying under coaches John Micholoseh and Carl DiPasqua. From 1970 he has taught Special Education at Middle. Last year on a lepve of absence, he got his Master's degree at Slippery Rock State College in
Pennsylvania.

He started teaching and coadhing at North Wildwood Jr. High from 19571959 where he stayed two years. TherThe moved on to Middle Twp. where he enjoyed a 10 year career coaching the football team. From 1959-69, after a championship season in 1969, he retired to the peace
