Sion* Harbor Shoreline! By Jaanatta O'May

Donations are always welcome. Ruth Toft, present chairman o( the shop, needs volunteers. If you can give a full day at, least once a month and be faithful. Etcetera would love to have vou.

by Jeannette O'May Etcetera Shop was the brainchild of Nancy Stewart. (Herhusband,Dr. Wayne Stewart, was chief of staff at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital). Nancy realized that many household items and articles of fine clothing that still had plenty of mileage were being discarded, and the plan took shape to sell these articles to rAise funds for the hospital. ^ Aik energetic Stone Harbor lady, Catharine ) LetSche, was one of the founders of the shop 18 years ago fcnd still works there, with 240Q. hours to her credit.FMrs. Letsche’s husband, Winy, was a charter member of the hospital Board of Governors.) Our town has a fine group of volunteer workers at the shop: Lydia Seagraves, Dorothy Stump, Marie Wood, Naomi Yarnall, Marguerite Koltzbucher, Helen Metzger and Florence Arenberg. The present home of Etcetera next door to B-T on Route 9, was a doctors’ residence in time past. The Auxiliary acquired it a few years ago and it was a step forward, as it provided more space for both merchandise and parking than the first shop on Mechanic Street. Have you visited Etcetera Shop? Every day new goodies arrive (and many of them are brand new), which sell for a fraction of their original cost. Clothing for all ages,

household necessities, books and games, appliances (except TV), even exquisite china and glass, can be purchased there.
