that the weather conditions hurt his offensive game, since the pitch-outs could not be successfully made. The Panthers did not attempt kicks for extra points, because Coach Exley believes that his offense is strong enough tO run the bail in for 2 points, thus giving him an advantage over the team that kicks for 1 point. Mitch Hand intercepted a Buena pass and was a,n integral part of the pass secondary
which performed well.
Good news for the coaching staff is the medical report on big Ray Marshall, 252 pound defensive stalwart, who has not been allowed to . practice because of high 'blood pressure. After taking a stress test on the tread mill, he received a clean bill of health'and Coach Exley expects to use him this Saturaay againsp Wildwood. There are now no players on the injured list, so the Panthers will be at full strength against the

In their first outing of the season, the Middle Twp. J.V.s lost* to Bufqa 8-0. Coach Paul YerlWad to experiment ViUi new personnel, and therefore theimoffense was not up to standard. The team did not have possession of the ball
on offense in the whole first quarter as Buena held on to the ball The defense gave a good account of themselves, particularly in the second .half and managed a still goal line stand in the last two minutes^*when they turned back Buena's threat to score. On offense Jeff Tanner - stood out along with Jeff Tomlin, having his first chance to run the team from quarterback. On defense. Don Tozer, at tackle, performed well. He also did the punting.
