Potkay, a speech-language clinician with the Cape May County Department of Health, attended a one-day workshop, sponsored by the New Jersey Speech and Hearing Association and the Montclair Institute of Continuing Education in Special $dji£ation, on aNew ModeMhr Developing the I.E.Rf for Children “Eligible J for Speech Correc tiorraervices. ” The individualization of this process has proven to be a rather timely and costly procedure. In an effort to expedite the process the workshop presentations advanced a group approach to the classification process. AVALON — Council President Stewart Gray told residents attending a recent council session that they must be patient. The Boro has alnbady gone to the county/engineer for help on the/problem of the Ocean Drire Bridge con•necting. Sea Isle and Avalon. “We are told that the county has it’s share of the money for construction of a new roadway and are now awaiting State approval and funds." There is nothing more we can dothat is a county road stated Council President Gray. Chief Foley in answering residents of 4lst Street stated "We have made 4lst Street one way on ia trial basis. The resolution becomes effective in November. We ask that the
residents of the area be patieht and let us see how it works. If you want a traffic study done, the residents of 41st and 42nd Street should petition the County Engineer for a study to be made when the traffic is at its height." Councilwoman Keene noted that some of the roadways where people would like a traffic light are county roads and the borough cannot put in a light. Traffic lights must be approved by the County and State and we would appreciate it if the residents would understand this. The council in Avalon is doing their best to move forward with resolutions and ordinances that will benefit the majority of the residents of the Borough.
