Bloodmobile Set
SEA ISLE — Residents of Sea Isle City have been urged to support the Red Cross Bloodmobile Sept. 28 by James Walsh, Blood Chairman, Cape May County Chapter, American Red Cross. With the achievements of space age technology, we are apt to feel that science can produce anything, he said. “There has been no breakthrough as yet, however, in the realm of human blood. No substitute has been found. Despite many efforts and developments, blood still
can come only from people.’’ Walsh emphasized that there could be no blood without volunteer donors. "I urge everyone in our community to become a part of this vital health care service by supporting the upcoming bloodmobile visits.” he said. The bloodmobile will be set up at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church auditorium and will receive donors from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. TTiose wishing to make appointments to donate are asked to call .465-7382.
“The Haunting’ Slated At ACC
MAYS LANDING - “The Haunting, - ” "Robert Wise’s chilling suspense movie, will be shown Saturday, Oct. 6 at Atlantic Community College. The screening will begin at 8 p.m. in the auditorium of Walter E. Edge Hall on the Mays Landing campus. Admission is free and open to the public. The movie begins as a little girl goes to live in an isolated house built by her father in England. As the family carriage approaches the house, the horses rear in terror at some aura of evil, and the girl’s mother is killed.
Terror mounts as a professor brings an odd pair of researchers to^elp him check the house for supernatural influences. The researchers are brilliantly portrayed by Julie Harris and Claire Bloom. Produced in 1963, the movie was filmed in a "real” haunted house—an 18th centry English manor. A ghost supposedly stalks the turrets-the ghost of a girl who threw herself from a balcony because she could not marry the man she loved. The screening is part of ACC’s 1979-80 Cultural Series.

CONSERVE ENERGY-THE RIGHT WAY

Here ore some "Basic Conservation'' guidelines you should follow: INSULATE ' v You need ot least six' Inches (R-19) of Insulotlon in your celling, ot leost three and a half Inches (R-11) over aawl spaces or unheated basements. Sooner or later, the massive oil price increoses we've seen so far this year ore going ro cotch up to our customers through the Energy Adjustment in their bills. When they do. typical household electric bills could go up by 20X or more. We're doing everything we con to cut our dependence on foreign oil. We need your help to cut that dependence even more.
