Hospital Auxiliary Luncheon Set

AVALON The annual fall luncheon sponsored by the Stone HaroorAvalon Branch of the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital-Auxiliary will be hold Wednesday. October 17from 11:30a.m. to2p.m. The luncheon will be held at Henny's Driftwood Dining Room The menu will offer a choice of fried ovsters or baked breast of chicken with rolls, butter, pie and coffee There will lx* no increase in the price over last year. Tickets' are $4.50 and may lx* purchased from Mrs. Grace Branning. 967

Ye Olde Tea House, on Third Avenue and 107th Street, was one of Stone Harbor's classiest establishments a half century ago. Families in their Sunday Best came down from Philadelphia on the train to partake of the excellent cuisine And some arrived via Model-T, as is evidenced on a vintage postcard. Many Cape May County natives enjoyed the food and atmosphere of this delightful spot Lucille Clark, nee Springer, was telling me that her wedding reception was held there 51 years ago; Lucille was a native of Court House She and Ellsworth Clark of Narberth tied the knot in the "Stone Harbor Episcopal Church. Incidentally. Elsworth’s parents owned one of the first houses built in our town, and it is still in use. Ye Old Tea House is no more; La Hacienda Motel
