Middle Soccer: Win One, Lose One Warriors Trounce Panthers
laasl week the Panthers soccer team played two games and managed a split, winning against I’ennsauken, 4*3. and losing to Absegami. 6-3, The Pennsauken game was decided in a double overtime, and the team didn't get home .until 10 pm t lhiit game. Garry ter scored all 4 goals with an assist going to Jim Pickering. Pennsauken shocked the Panthers by scoring 2 goals in the first minute, but Middle fought back valiantly and pulled the chestnut out of the fire in the 2nd overtime period
Outstanding players for the Panthers, besides the offensive star. Garry Hunter. were Mike Fiorucci. JacQuementon and Coolidge. Doug tier her is •coming along nicely." according to Coach Ray Bat/, and should nail ti regular fullback position. Middle’s injury fist is impressive. Mike Fiorucci t<\rc some tendons in his leg in a practice session, and. may be out for two weeks.' Nicdcrger pulled his leg out and missed one game. Rowig returned to the lineup. but is not in A t shape Coolidge and Hunter are noHoopercent healthy.
