• Bells Are Ringit*" in Stone Harbor, and those lovely sounds come from Our Saviour Lutheran Church every day at noon and at six o'clock in the evening, as well as several times oh Sunday. The original bell system was a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Ludiam.in memory of their son. Stephen, who lost his life in World War II. The Lutheran Church started out as a Sunday School in 1910. then in 1913 progressed to Sunday evening services, with speakers from various denominatiorts. In 1914 the church was incorporated and on July 8. 1917. the present house of worship on Third Avenue and 93rd Street Was dedicated: Have you hpen among the 300 or more who have enjoyed dinner at some time in the parish hill? If not. you are missing something! The Lutheran Church Choir prepares: these repasts, and Dottie Young, choir president, states that the next one will be served on Election Day. Dot tie's group, besides singing on Sundays, presents several candlelight concerts throughout the year and the next will be at Christmastime. Church Council has an impressive lits of folks from Stone Harbor: Harold Connor, Gus Miller. Ellis Mixner, Charles Priggemeter. Bob Settle, Willard Shuster and Dorothy Fink. Bess Brockway and Dot Pfeiffer keep busy in the Lutheran Church Women group and Women for Service y president, Colleen Spindler, gel help from Addy Arenberg and Dot Eide. Mrs. Spindler is a very outgoing lady and enjoys working along with her husband and members of the various groups in their activities. My thanks to them for this information.
