Thanksgiving Ecumenical Services

COURT HOUSE - The Ecumenical Fellowship of the Seven Mile Beach announces ' the Thankaglving Service this year will be hosted by the First United Methodist Church of Avalon November 18, Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m, the Sunday proceeding Thanksgiving day. . At the 7 p.m. Sunday service, the pastor will speak on the topic "The Answer to Despair". The chapel's radio program "Sending Forth the Gospel Light." is heard each Tuesday evening at 6:30 over station WRIO-FM (193.3). Prayer and praise meeting is held on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Bring the entire family for an evening of fellowship A Ladies Bible Study is held On Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the large chapel basement. The Book of John will be studied. Another Ladles Bible Study is held on the same day at 1:00 p.m. at the home of Mrs Ruth Church. 522 Ok) Shore Rd.. Erma. The Book of Revelation will be the course of study for this class. Gospel Crusaders (Grades 14) and the Word of Lift Oub (Grades 7-12). are held on Thursday eveaiagiat7:00. The public is invited to attend services and activities.

The ecumenical Fellowship was organised in 1975 and each year one of the six participating Churches of the Stone Harbor - Avalon area act as host, rotating each year. All Pastors participate in the service, hymns of Thanksgiving to God are sung by the congregations and a combined choir assembled from all the churches, usually approximately thirty persons sing two

WtKIDSTOWN - The Brownie, of the Holly Shores Girl Scout Council will kick off their annual cookie sale on October 25. Cape May County Girl Scouts will be going door to door until November 12. The annual Brownie Cookie Sale will provide an eighty-six cent donation per box to Girl Scouting. The troop keeps 9 cents per box and the council receives «6 cenU per box.
